Terms of Service
On the Books ยท Effective October 2, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Technarit LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"), which operates On the Books. By creating an account or booking through On the Books, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What On the Books is
On the Books is a booking tool for barbers. Barbers use the Android app to manage their calendar, and clients book through the barber's public booking page. We provide the tool. The appointments, services and prices are between the barber and the client. We are not a party to them and are not responsible for the haircut, the price, or whether an appointment happens.
2. Your account (barbers)
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
- Give accurate information, and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One account per email address.
- You are responsible for the client information you keep, and for using it only to run your business. Text-message reminders are sent from your own phone; you are responsible for them and for having your clients' permission to contact them.
3. Subscription, free trial and billing
- Taking new bookings requires a paid subscription, bought through Google Play. Google handles payment under its own terms.
- The price and any free trial are shown before you subscribe. If a free trial is offered, you are not charged during it; when it ends, the subscription starts and you are charged automatically.
- The subscription renews monthly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Google Play. After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If a payment fails, Google may give you a short grace period to fix it. If it is not fixed, the subscription is paused or ends.
- Without an active subscription: you can still sign in, see your calendar and manage existing appointments, but you cannot take new bookings. Existing bookings and your clients' cancellation links keep working.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy.
- We may change prices. A change applies to you only after notice, and Google Play will ask for your agreement where required.
4. Acceptable use
Do not:
- use On the Books for anything illegal, or to send spam or unwanted messages;
- make fake bookings, or book under someone else's name or number without permission;
- try to break, overload, or get around the security or limits of the service;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- put content on your booking page that is unlawful, misleading or offensive.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the information you put into On the Books. You give us permission to store and display it as needed to run the service โ for example, showing your business name, services and photo on your booking page. Our Privacy Policy at https://onthebooksapp.com/privacy explains how we handle personal information.
6. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Shop settings โ Delete account) or at https://onthebooksapp.com/account/delete. Deleting is permanent and cancels your Google Play subscription. We may end the service or close accounts with reasonable notice where possible.
7. The service is provided "as is"
We work to keep On the Books available and correct, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every notification or reminder will arrive. Keep your own record of important appointments.
8. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income, lost bookings, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the subscription in the 3 months before the claim, or US $50 if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell barbers in the app or by email before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using On the Books after that, you accept the new terms.
